Physical or emotional trauma can cause restrictions in the cerebrospinal fluid’s pathways. Your skull bones all move together, but when they get out of sync, the cerebrospinal fluid pathways constrict and the fluid can’t flow freely. CranioSacral therapy is used to open up those paths through energetic manipulation of the skull bones and sacrum.
CranioSacral therapy relieves the stress from trauma such as accidents, falls, surgery, migraines, scoliosis, TMJ, and frozen shoulder. This allows you to sleep, breathe, and relax better after your therapy session, which lasts about one hour. You remain fully clothed throughout the session while the therapist checks you diaphragms (respiratory, thoracic, and pelvic) to feel the rhythm of your cerebrospinal fluid in order to open up the pathways.
